womenwinning Welcomes Lauren Beecham as Executive Director
Dear Friends,
I think you’ll agree with me, the first day at a new job can be both exciting and exhilarating. My first day as Executive Director at womenwinning is no different.
I’m honored to be joining a team of such revered women and strong candidates whom I deeply respect and admire. And I’m thrilled to help kick off a special year in which womenwinning will celebrate its 30-year anniversary.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t start by thanking you for your ongoing support of womenwinning’s candidates and work. I also want to thank Sarah Taylor-Nanista for her dedication to our mission to elect pro-choice women across our state. Colorado is lucky to have gained such a inspirational woman. Over the past four years under Sarah's leadership, you have all truly helped make a difference for women and families in Minnesota.
Some of you may know me from my most recent work as Minnesota Finance Director for Senator Al Franken. Prior to that, I had the pleasure of working alongside many of you, as together we raised nearly $5 million for womenwinning-endorsed candidate, Tarryl Clark, in her 2010 congressional race.
Over the course of the coming weeks and months, I hope to be able to meet you in-person. But until then, I would love to hear from you. Click here to share with me why you support womenwinning and what you’re looking forward to accomplishing together in 2012.
I want you to know that I am here to make sure this organization continues to be as successful and influential as it has been for years, and also continues to grow and elect more strong women into office.
This work starts today.
This year is our chance to take back our pro-choice majorities in the Minnesota House and Senate and reverse the decline in women’s political representation we saw across the country during the last election.
I look forward to working with all of you to further change the face of politics in our great state. Together, we can make this year, womenwinning’s most successful year yet.

With the election of Kari Dziedzic and Susan Allen to the legislature, Women Winning is five for five in legislative special elections...
